S & P Global said Wednesday that there is no special view of whether Spain has resumed direct management of Catalonia and is waiting to see if the crisis has sustained damage to strong economic recovery.
S & P's outlook for BBB +'s Spanish sovereign rating is "positive", but tensions around the Catalan independence action raise short-term ratings to raise concerns.
"The development of the situation remains to be seen," said Frank Gill, a senior sovereign analyst at Standard & Poor's in Madrid, who said: "It is clear that the situation is expected to ease the situation, so we have no special views on whether or not the Article 155 of the Spanish Constitution has been triggered."
He said that S & P is more concerned about the impact of the incident on Spain's economic and financial performance. Last week before the independence declaration in Catalonia, S & P said that unless the tensions escalated, it is not expected to cut Spain's rating.
