US President Trump's economic policy poses a risk to German automakers

Dieter Zetsche, chairman of DAIGn.DE, said Tuesday that US President Trump's economic and trade policy posed a risk to German automakers.

"There is no adverse impact on our business at present," Tsai said at a meeting. "But it must be a risk."

Trump hopes to protect the US car manufacturers, has accused the United States imported trade is unfair.

Trump also questioned the NAFTA with Mexico's North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Mexico is an important production base for German cars sold to the United States.
