Asian equities rose slightly on Wednesday, and US Treasury yields and the dollar were boosted, as Republican senators were inclined to Stanford University economist John Taylor as chairman of the Federal Reserve Board (Federal Reserve / FED).

China's stock market Shanghai and Shenzhen 300 index rose 0.3% intraday, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.1%.
