Italy Atlantia bid for Spain Abertis to 17.1 billion

Two sources said the Italian infrastructure group Atlantia (ATL.MI) to buy the Spanish toll road operator Abertis (ABE.MC) offer plan increased to 17.1 billion euros. Abertis belongs to the German construction company ACS (ACS.MC) under the German company Hochtief (HOTG.DE).

In May, Atlantia said it planned to buy Abertis; this is the largest acquisition in Europe this year.

Abertis did not comment.
