Glencore to cancel the second listing in Hong Kong, is expected to officially re

GLEN.L, the world's largest merchandise trader, announced today that it has withdrawn its shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and is expected to stop trading after the close of trading on Jan. 10, Delisting.

Glencore was listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange on May 25, 2011. Only a few shareholders chose to hold their shares in the Hong Kong Shareholders' List, representing approximately 0.3% of the total issued share capital of the Company.

"After careful consideration, the Board considers that the withdrawal of the Shares on the Stock Exchange is in the best interest of the Company, the Shareholders and other securities holders of the Company," the Company said.

After the delisting in Hong Kong, Glencore shares continue to be listed on the UK and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. (Finish)
