Qualcomm (QCOM.O) and Apple (AAPL.O) went to court again. Qualcomm accused Apple of breaching the software license contract, allowing rival Intel (INTC.O) to be able to create broadband modem (broadband modem) and thus benefit.
Qualcomm filed a lawsuit filed with the California court on Wednesday, stating that Apple has taken advantage of its business to gain unprecedented access to Qualcomm's confidential software, including the source code.
Apple did not comment on the lawsuit. Apple started using the Intel Broadband Data Processor chip (chip) from the iPhone 7.
Qualcomm said under the contract Apple should make sure that engineers working with Qualcomm in the company will not communicate Qualcomm chip details to engineers working with Intel.
Reuters reported earlier this week that Apple may no longer be using Qualcomm chips for its iPhones and iPads starting next year.
