Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau said on Wednesday that Canada will not be eager to join the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) to ensure that the agreement is in its best interests.
"Canada will not be in a rush to join an agreement that does not meet the best interests of the people of Canada and Canada," said Trudeau at a press conference during his visit to Vietnam. Later this week he will attend an APEC summit.
"Our ministers are very committed and working hard on the issue of TPP 11 (11-country TPP) and of course Canada is very enthusiastic about how we can move forward in favor of Canada and our partner countries," he said.
