Three regional Federal Reserve in the United States in October meeting called fo

The meeting of the Federal Reserve (Fed / Federal Reserve) on the discount rate released on Tuesday showed that three of the 12 regional federations called for an increase in the discount rate at the October meeting.

The Federal Reserve decided at the monetary policy meeting October 31 - November 1 to maintain the target rate of the federal funds rate unchanged at 1-1.25% and the discount rate unchanged at 1.75%.

The minutes show that Kansas City, Cleveland and Richmond Voting have called for an increase in the discount rate to 2%. The Kansas City Fed made the same request at the September meeting.

"Given the solid economic growth and the job market has tightened, inflation is expected to rise by 2%." The Fed thinks it is necessary to raise the discount rate.

Conversely, the Fed, which wants to maintain the same discount rate, thinks inflation is weak this year. It is widely expected that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates at its next meeting in December.
