Japanese Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Nishimura Yasuhiro said on Wednesday that U.S. President Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe agreed to raise the response to North Korea's missile program and urged China to exert more force.

Nishimura Kang told reporters that the leaders of the United States and Japan "reached an agreement on the phone that will enhance the deterrent capability to deal with the DPRK's threats." The DPRK launched a missile earlier this month and Japan said it is launching an ICBM, Crashed into Japan's exclusive economic waters.

Nishimura Yasuhiro pointed out that Trump and Abe also "agreed that China needs to make greater efforts" to counter North Korea. "
