Japanese monitors say the report about the company seeking financing is not real

In a statement on Friday, Japan Display Company (6740.T) said the company's search for financing has been false and the company is seeking to form a partnership with a "global company."

 
Japan's Kyodo news agency reported that underfunded Japanese monitors are seeking investment from customers such as Apple Inc. (AAPL.O) and Huawei, as well as Chinese panel makers such as BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd. (000725.SZ).

Japanese monitor company told Reuters on Thursday that these reports are "speculative."
