Airbus said it will increase production in China but has not finalized new aircr

European aircraft maker Airbus (AIR.PA) said Airbus plans to expand its assembly company in Tianjin to increase the number of aircraft to be assembled in China, according to a deal signed in Beijing on Tuesday.

This initial agreement was signed during a state visit to China by French President Macron.

According to Airbus, according to the latest agreement, the monthly production of the Tianjin Airbus A320 aircraft assembly line will increase from the current 4 to 6 aircraft.

Airbus also said in a statement that the goal of this increase is to have 5 monthly production by early 2019 and 6 by 2020.

However, the signing ceremony in Beijing did not include an agreement on the sale of Airbus to China by airlines. Although previously expected by the outside world, Macron will finalize the contract during its visit to China.
