A shooting incident occurred near the Philippine presidential residence

A spokesman for the Philippine President's security department said a shooting incident occurred near Tuesday's presidential residence, but an official from the presidential palace said the president was not in the official residence when the shooting took place.

Mike Aquino, a spokesman for the Presidential Security Group, told reporters that the incident occurred at Malacanang Park in the Dortert Security Department and close to its Bahay ng Pagbabago residence. He said the security department was investigating, for the time being no more details.

DZMM radio reported that one person was injured.

An official from the presidential palace told reporters that the shooting incident occurred, Dutterter not in the official residence. The officer was not authorized to speak to the media and asked for anonymity.
